As an indispensable key equipment in modern construction engineering, self loading concrete mixer truck integrates multiple functions such as material loading, mixing and transportation, and is a significant combination of efficient concrete mixing and transportation solutions. These trucks can not only mix concrete on site, but also automatically load the required materials - water, cement, sand, and aggregates. This makes them particularly useful in construction projects where ready mixed concrete is not easily available or construction sites are located in hard to reach areas.
However, while operating the self loading mixer truck, it is necessary to ensure its safe, efficient, and stable operation on the construction site. Operators must have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the correct operating methods and processes, as well as related knowledge points such as maintenance and safety precautions. This is not only related to the smooth progress of the project, but also closely linked to the personal safety of operators and the service life of equipment.
Preparation of self-feeding mixer truck before operation
Firstly, the vehicle inspection involves checking the exterior, tires, chassis, and engine compartment of the vehicle. Check the self loader mixer truck's lighting system, including headlights, turn signals, brake lights, side lights, etc., to ensure that all lights can be turned on normally and the lampshade is not damaged. Also, check whether the tire pressure of the vehicle meets the standard value specified by the vehicle manufacturer. High or low tire pressure may cause problems such as tire blowouts or difficult handling. Bend down to inspect the chassis components, including the suspension system, transmission shaft, braking system, etc., and check for any loose, deformed, or damaged parts. Special attention should be paid to checking whether there is any leakage in the brake pipeline and whether the wear of the brake pads is within a reasonable range to ensure good braking performance of the vehicle. Open the engine hood and first check the engine oil level. The oil level should be within the normal range of the oil dipstick. Insufficient oil may lead to increased engine wear and even damage.
Next is the inspection of the mixing drum. Carefully inspect the interior for any concrete residues. Residual concrete clumps may affect the quality and mixing effect of fresh concrete, and may also damage the blades and lining plates inside the mixing drum. And check whether the stirring blades are deformed, damaged, or have loose parts.
Finally, there is an inspection of the operating system, which is a crucial component of the operation of the entire self loading cement mixer truck. Enter the cab and check if all control devices are complete, intact, and operate flexibly. Including steering wheel, gear lever, clutch pedal, brake pedal, accelerator pedal, various instruments (such as speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure gauge, water temperature gauge, etc.) and operation buttons (such as mixing drum rotation control button, discharge control button, etc.).
Self-feeding stirring truck operation process
First of all, start the vehicle. After getting on the vehicle, adjust the seat position and rear-view mirror angle to ensure a good driving vision. Fasten your seat belt and insert the key into the ignition switch. Before starting the engine, make sure the gear lever is in neutral and the handbrake is in the braking position. Pay attention to various indicator lights on the engine dashboard, such as the oil pressure indicator light and charging indicator light, to ensure that all systems operate normally after the engine is started.
The second is to load materials. After starting the vehicle, slowly release the handbrake, step on the clutch pedal, shift the gear lever to the appropriate gear (usually low gear), release the clutch pedal, lightly press the accelerator pedal, and slowly drive the vehicle towards the material storage area. After arriving at the material yard, park the vehicle in a suitable location and align the feeding port of the mixing drum with the material pile. According to the type and stacking situation of materials, operate the hydraulic system of the vehicle and adjust the feeding angle of the mixing drum. Generally, make the feeding port slightly lower than the top of the material pile to facilitate the smooth entry of materials into the mixing drum. It is necessary to closely observe the operation of the mixing drum to prevent foreign objects (such as large stones, metal parts, etc.) from entering the mixing drum and damaging the mixing drum and blades. When the loading capacity of the material approaches the rated capacity of the mixing drum, the loading speed should be gradually reduced.
The third is to activate the mixing button for material mixing. Activate the rotation button of the mixing drum to stir at the specified mixing speed (usually 12-18 revolutions per minute). The mixing time should be determined comprehensively based on factors such as the mix proportion of concrete, the capacity of the mixing drum, the properties of the materials, and the ambient temperature, and is generally 3-5 minutes.
After the final mixing is completed, the material is unloaded. Transport the mixed materials to the designated location for pouring, aligning the discharge port of the mixing drum with the concrete pouring area. Step on the clutch pedal, shift the gear lever to neutral, tighten the handbrake, and ensure that the vehicle is in a stable parking position. Operate the discharge control button, slowly open the discharge door, and allow the concrete to be discharged into the pouring area through the discharge chute.
After the unloading is completed, all operations of the self loading concrete mixer truck are realized. Operating the self dumping concrete mixer truck requires attention to details and understanding of the concrete mixing process. By following the outlined concrete loading, mixing, transportation, and unloading processes, operators can ensure that trucks operate in the best possible way and deliver high-quality concrete every time.
